PayPal payment transaction shows in my bank but not on paypal

I tried to pay for some items via PayPal but it went back to the merchant screen saying there was an issue with PayPal. In my PayPal under history and transactions it doesn’t show the transaction as having gone through or anything however my bank statement shows PayPal has a pending transaction of the funds amount. How do I get this pending transaction cancelled or back into my account? I tried to call but their silly call button only call 0508 which is not a complete number and their silly AI chatbot says it can’t help me. If you can’t tell I’m seriously frustrated by this and the lack of assistance to be able To obtain and honestly don’t know I’ll be using PayPal ever again.

If the pending transaction does not complete the funds should drop back into your bank account.

That's not the case. I needed to upload my ID and a Visa account statement. I did so. I should get An answer after 5 days. When I look at my Paypal account it's back to upload your ID and a Visa account statement. It's my money. It shouldn't get blocked. I decide myself what should happen with it. Paypal doesn't have the right to mess with it. I need to pay someone do therefor I need my money back. When am I going to get it back? I advice you to give it back in a very short amount of time. Meaning this week. So I wait impatiently for your answer or action. Thanks.
