Hello @jackfrozzzt

Welcome back to the Community!

I'm sorry to hear you have had multiple Pay in 3 payments. When you make a purchase using Pay in 3, you will see a pending authorization for the full amount. However, when you initiate the payment, we'll only debit your funding source for the first installment. If you see more than one charge for the initial authorization, I recommend contacting the merchant to request a refund. You may also be able to file a billing dispute

I hope this helps!

@jackfrozzzt I'm having the exact same issue.  Used the NEW PayPal Bill pay feature to pay my Sam's Club Credit card.  Paypal sent 2 duplicate payments.  When I called them they were completely confused.  Most of the employees don't understand that there's a bill pay feature on the PayPal side they assume you set a payment through your CC company to pay with PayPal.

I had another payment setup for another CC (Barclays) and decided to cancel that payment because it was for more money and I didn't want it to happen again.   I cancelled the payment got a confirmation that I cancelled through the app screen (no email)...the next day the payment went through anyway!  The PayPal Bill Pay feature has major issues and there is zero help from PayPal.  When you call they have no clue what you're talking about.

I'm cancelling all of my Bill Pay and trying to figure out how to deal with the multiple thousands of dollars that have disappeared from my bank accounts.  Looks like I'll have to work with my credit card companies to get a resolution which means I'll be waiting weeks to get my money back.

Good Luck!
