I didn't get a refund for a failed payment that doesn't show up on my Activity tab

I've made a payment to a seller on eBay which ended in some unexpected PayPal error. The money was withdrawn from my account but the seller didn't receive it. This ayment doesn't show up anywhere on my PayPal app or account so the only way to open the dispute was to write to PayPal directly. PayPal Support doesn't answer after 2 days. Any tips on how to get a refund in this case?

Probably will drop back to your funding source in a few days, if not then contact customer services for a trace?

Unfortunately, i've already waited 15 days for the money but they never returned to my bank account. I've emailed support detailing the payment already but they are silent and you can't get to a human operator anyway.
