How do I receive a refund on a Depop item if the seller I bought from doesn’t have a Paypal account?

I made a mistake by paying through Paypal on Depop when the seller I bought from doesn’t have a Paypal account, and therefore can’t refund me.

How did you pay him via paypal if he doesn't have an account??

I don’t know, the seller just said that they “don’t have a Paypal account set up” and that “there is nothing” they can do about my order. I think it’s required for sellers to activate a Paypal account but maybe they can’t access it or they just don’t use/prefer Paypal? They wrote in the description to not buy through Paypal but I’m dumb and missed that,, I just wanna know how I can cancel it and get a refund

If he doesn't have a paypal account then it should show as unclaimed on your paypal account.

If there is a cancel option then use it but most likely there is not so the payment would time out at 30 days post payment.
