DD failed paid by card then PayPal took dd

Made some payments using bank done this several times I know it takes a few days, my wages where late from work due to the bank holiday weekend as a result it bounced and put my PayPal in the red so Tuesday morning when my wages cleared I wanted to pay for something else so cleared the red with card then today 2 days later PayPal have taken the same amount again from Direct Debit so I am now 270 down in my bank. Will this eventually go into my PayPal balance or back to my bank or have I lost 270quid. I can't get hold of PayPal

If you have failed bank transfer then Paypal automatically keep trying to access those funds to clear your negative balance.
If you sent a bank transfer to your Paypal account and Paypal also automatically applied for the funds as well then you would have 2 payments processing to your Paypal balance.
The first one to arrive will clear the negative balance and the second one will be credited as a + to your balance and you can withdraw it back to your bank account once cleared.
