Cannot send money from gift card to someone

I registered the giftcard under my name, added it to my wallet but now when I try and send money from the giftcard, it keeps saying "we added your new payment method but can't use it right now. To continue, choose or add another way to pay

I am sorry to know that you're having issues while sending money through gift card. Sometimes, our security program considers a variety of factors at each transaction/activity to keep you safe. Any activity of adding card/bank can often be blocked or declined if we detect any unusual or suspicious activity or not safe for your account in the future, you can try again at a later time to see if that works. If the issue still persist, that means the gift card is not compatible with PayPal system. In this case, kindly add a different payment method to transact through PayPal.
