Cannot cancel an inactive subscription (and it will still charge me next month)

I subscribed to some website (which turned out to be a fraud website) through Paypal days a ago and the subscription cannot be cancelled now.

What happened was that I signed up for a one-day trial on this website---It didn't mention anything about an automatic renewal and provided no information about how to cancel this subscription. Then I found out it is actually a recurring payment the next day when I was charged, so I filed a claim through PayPal and asked it to cancel my subscription now, but PayPal immediately turned down my claim (but the subscription became inactive after that). So I contacted the fraud website and asked them to cancel my subscription, but it said that PayPal has a hold on my account due to my already-closed claim, so I cannot cancel my subscription and they will still charge me next month. What should I do now?

Hello @A5yx8vHbzu

Thanks for visiting the Community!

I'm sorry you're having trouble with a recent purchase. You can double-check that the subscription was cancelled on our website by following the instructions on our Help Center: What is an automatic payment and how do I cancel or update one? As long as the subscription is cancelled, the merchant would not be able to charge you automatically next month. For further assistance with your dispute, please contact Customer Support. You can contact Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page. Support is also available if you send a DM to @AskPayPal on Twitter or a PM to facebook.com/PayPal.

I hope this helps!
