Bank transfer lost between paypal and Trade Republic

Hello there,

I got a pending issue with a paypal balance transfer to trade republic.

My story:

 

I got 390€ left as balance on my paypal account and thought about moving my funds to my trade republic account for the 4% interest.

Thought that I could safe a step by transfering the funds directly to my trade republic account instead to my personal account and so over.

I added my trade republic bank account as receiving account and transfered the funds. A day later, I received an email from trade republic declining the bank transfer due to being unable to verify that the payment was coming from me. The 390€ have been transfered back to paypal one day later.

Sadly, paypal didnt associate the returning bank transfer with my account and the funds are lost somewhere in paypal's guts.

 

What can I do? The standard paypal support doesnt want to understand what my actual issue is and told me to wait, but the bank transfer was over a week ago...

Hello, i have the same problem! I have transfered money form Paypal on 07/15 and still not have received it in TR nor refound in Paypal. How did you solve this topic? I have tried to contact TR but they confirmed they have sent the refound on paypal general account (LU89751000135104200E), but it has not been accounted on my balance. Instead paypal assistance did not understand my problem and nobody is helping me..... Please tell me more about how to solve this topic! Thank you

Exact same issue for me. TR tell they sent money LU89751000135104200E and paypal don't seem to understand the issue. It's been several months now and still cannot find a solution.

I have the same issue. Sent the money in April, and have been in touch with customer support teams from both companies bi-weekly, and everyone is just pushing the problem. I do have the evidence from Trade Republic saying that they returned the money to a PayPal account (IBAN LU89751000135104200E) but PayPal just won’t help me locate that money but are closing the chat or asking me to wait. Getting absolute desperate since it‘s a significant amount of money…
