I have been put in a very difficult position. My Father in Law passed and I needed some financial help to complete his burial arrangements. I was sent $2,000 to my PayPal account on November 25th. On November 25th i did an instant transfer for the amount of $1,049.89. A hold for some reason was placed on the remaining amount of $910.30. I then attempted to do an instant transfer of the balance of $910.30. I desperately needed (and still do) the funds to complete my Father in Law's burial. The instant transfer was put in a pending mode. I contacted PayPal 3 times and received 3 different answers from the customer service team members. The first said it would have to be a 24 hour hold and the final answer I reached from a manager was there is a 72 hour security hold.
Needless to say this hold on the $910.30 has put me in such a crisis and the answer I received was this is a system hold that they could do nothing about. Why release part of the money and hold the rest? Why a crippling 72 hour hold which I am in now.
