somehow cannot use my bank account to pay a storage co.

I have been trying to pay a storage company with my Wells Fargo Bank, not a credit card. The screen says that I need to link the bank account, although I did a few years ago. It then texts me a code to verify, then keeps telling me that the 4-digit code is incorrect. But then, they sent me a 6-digit code!! Please kindly help, thank you.

Bank accounts are verified instantly by providing your online banking credentials (login info) or by manually entering the bank account number and routing number then entering the amounts of two small deposits PayPal made to your bank account.

Cards are confirmed by entering the 4-digit code found in your card account activity via a $1.95 temporary charge.

You may need to verify SMS six digit code for 2FA security purposes but the 4-digit PayPal code is found in your card account.
