Understanding fees for receiving payment

Hello. I'm trying to undertand why some transactions have fees and some others not when receiving funds. I live in the Czech Republic, by the way.

  • For example, one recent transaction in my activity is a withdrawal I did at eToro. I received all my funds and that transaction has no fees on PayPal at all. It's all the money I withdrew at eToro. It matches.
  • However, a transaction for some money I withdrew from my Introducing Broker PaybackFx for some forex rebates has a whopping 5-6%.

Why's that? I don't know if receiving money from withdrawals is considered a commercial transaction or not, but I don't understand the inconsistency. Thanks in advance for any hints!

Some platforms use PayPal Payouts option where the sender pays the fees on mass payments and some do not. You’ll have to check with platforms you use to see whether PayPal fees are applicable when cashing out to PayPal.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I mean, I do know if fees are applicable when cashing out to PayPal: none of the two services apply fees when customers withdraw their money to PayPal. That is public on their websites, and I'm aware of the fees on their side (none), but I still don't understand the fees on PayPal side when receiving the money. Is that what you meant? I didn't quite get it. Thanks.
