Trying to send money to friend, payment method not showing up

I am on mobile. I am trying to send my friend money, however it doesn't seem to be working. After I select the "family and friends" option, it takes me to a "link payment method" screen. However, I already have a card linked to my account and have used my Paypal to successfully check out a week or two ago with the aforementioned card, so it's not like my account is dormant or anything. When I put my card info in, it takes me back to where I need to select what kind of payment type my transaction is, family & friends or goods & services. I have tried using my phone's browser and my computer, but nothing seems to work. I do not understand why this is happening as my card should not be declining.

When you added your card did you confirm it as well?

Did you leave it on your account or remove it again?

I have the same problem. I put wrong card issuer first time, but when i tried second time, card was linked successfully. Card is on my paypal but it doesn't showing up on payments methods

I have had that card on my account since I got it a few years ago, and I don't recall ever removing it. When I would input it after trying to send someone money, it wouldn't confirm it, I dont think. It would just take me back to the "family & friends" or "goods & services" selection, then after I hit my choice, it would go back to me needing to input my payment method. My bank account shows up, but not my card.
