I sent money, it will take 3 to 5 days for him to get it. Can I stop this and send it another way?

If its a pending echeque then the only way to try and stop it is to talk to your bank and see if they can cancel it from their end.
It happens. Hit the "Login to Ask the community" button to create a question for the PayPal community.
