Reactivating an inactive subscription

I accidentally canceled my PC Game Pass subscription and want to reactivate it, but Paypal keeps declining it. How do I clear the inactive subscription from my history so I can reactivate it? Is this possible? I just really want to start the subscription back up and Paypal is my preferred method of keeping track of reoccurring payments.

Not possible to remove the inactive sub from the Manage Automatic Payments Inactive list. It’s just a reference list of sub history. The inactive sub in PayPal generally shouldn’t hinder your resubbing again.

Have you tried to remove PayPal from your game pass as a payment method and add it again?

Thank you @sharpiemarker - I had a similar problem with one of my subscriptions. When I was trying to renew my subscription on the Ancestry site, with Paypal already selected as Payment Method, it wouldn't work. I did as you suggested, changed the payment method to Credit card then back to Paypal which then opened the Paypal authorisation window. Then it took me back to the Ancestry membership screen and continued to process the payment.
