Random hold placed on my account with no corresponding transaction.

I attempted to place an order with Bulk Apothecary on Saturday.  I had trouble with the website, and the transaction was declined.  Bulk Apothecary has no record of the order, and Paypal did not send any confirmation.  However a hold has been placed on my account for $134.77.  I am not a seller, no one sent me money, Paypal has just placed a hold at my bank for no reason.  I cannot obtain any assistance from Paypal without referencing a transaction.

That is what is supposed to happen whenever you make a purchase, an authorization hold is initiated at your bank or card account reserving the funds for the purchase until merchant captures the funds. If merchant does not capture the funds, the authorization hold would eventually expire and drop off. This can take a few days to up to 30 days. If authorization hold lasts beyond 30 days, contact PayPal or your bank/card to void the authorization depending on where you see the pending authorization.
