Pending payment

So, I received a Payment from a friend on the 15th of October (5 days ago) I got an email from PayPal saying it was paid as an e-cheque and it would be cleared in 5-7 days. Today this clock symbol has appeared over the enitials of the person who sent the payment in the activity section in the PayPal app It still says pending but my question being what does the clock symbol mean?
