Hi ,
- Purchase made via Paypal (had bank card and credit card as funding source).
- Payal processed the purchase, but there was not sufficient fund on bank card and credit card was declined.
- Paypal balance now showed that I owe.
- Transferred money from a different bank to clear.
- Closed the account.
- Prior purchase sent a refund to the closed account. (close to a month ago now)
Customer service is giving me the canned response
Thank you for responding,XXXX . I highly suggest to contact your bank or card institution to check to see if the refund is already posted or still on process on there end. Since the account is already closed, the refund will automatically refunded back to it original funding source used. Nothing to worry, just contact you bank or card institution to check.
Question:
what is "original funding source".
Have checked both the bank accounts. No refunds yet.
Chat CS also tells to call the 888 number only to have the 888 number tell us to use the chat as they are very busy.
Anybody know what to do next?
