No Payment Received. Is expired debit card relevant to the issue?

Someone sent me $1 via Venmo app through my phone number but I've noticed my debit card had expired. Is that the reason and I'll no longer receive any payments until I update my debit card? Or it's not the case? I use a Chrome desktop browser.

Ask the 'sender' what it says next to the transaction on their paypal account ie pending / unclaimed / completed / payment or sent?

As you haven't added your country to your profile (so we can see when we hover over your username) or said in your post which country you are in so unfortunately we can't advise.
Paypal varies a great deal country to country so you need to tell us where you are on this worldwide community forum.

poland. How can I add country info in my profile? I'm browsing through the sections and can't seem to find that. I remember it asked me for the 1st time and I skipped it. I only see time zone in Preferences. In Personal Information there's "Company" field to fill.

I meant your community profile not your account profile, to set country you can click on your icon top right of this page > preferences.

OR just mention it in your post and don't add it, you're call.

Anyway you say you received $1 so have you added USD as a receiving currency on your Polish paypal account?

Yeah I clicked on my avatar in the top right corner on paypal community and there's only language to pick, no country. Avatar/profile->Preferences and there's only time zone and language. If I'm allowed to post links/pictures I can post a screenshot if needed. And like I said, in Personal Info there are First/Last Name and Company fields.

I added a usd account so $ go to that account. It used to work but that was a while ago, maybe something had changed on paypal. I already updated my debit card, maybe the sender should try it one more time. And I wonder what happened to that $1 he sent, hope he gets it back if something goes wrong like the system'd reject the transfer.

Got it, thanks much. Back to the main issue though... I still I can't see any pending transactions to accept the money transfer. And like I said before, updated my debit card but it still doesn't seem to change anything. Should I ask the sender to send another $1 to check if it works this time? And where did the first payment go when my card was displayed as expired?

It’s still pending.

Still pending. He used Venmo app.

Edit: I've also sent him a payment request from my Paypal account.

Edit 2: The payment through request worked but there was a 0.35c fee of $1. Are fees the same for all platforms, whether it's PayPal or other apps?

Edit 3: Nevermind. He quit due to fees. Thanks for help though. Please close the thread.
