Hi! I have a personal PayPal account and this is my first time using Paypal. I hired someone off of a Facebook group for some yard work and they have now sent me their PayPal username so I can pay them. However, this person seemed a bit strange so I do not want them to have personal information such as my full name or my home address, or my card info. Also, I am not sure if they have a business or personal account. When I send them their payment what will they see if they have a personal account. and When I send them their payment what will they see if they have a business account.

Hey @hibill

Thank you for posting in our Community and you are very welcome here.

I understand that you want to keep your personal details hidden when you sent a payment. When you send a payment to a personal or a business account the received will see your name and address. A lot of people use PayPal for selling items and we share the address so the received can see where they need to send the items too and to who. You can add another address to the account and select this as the address that will be linked to the transaction. This way you can keep your personal address safe.

Your financial details will never be shared with the receiver. So don't worry about that. All your financial details will remain safe within your PayPal account and not visible to anyone who you decide to sent a payment too.

I hope this information helps.
