I cannot refund money

Hi,

I received money from my friend several week ago, but that was a mistake. So I want to refund that money, but every time I'm trying to refund, it always shows "We can't process any refund at this moment due to technical reasons. Please try again later." Can this issue been fixed? We really need that money returned soon.

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some road-blocks issuing a refund. I can certainly understand how concerning that can be. Have you tried clearing your browser's cache and browsing history yet? If that's not the issue, do you have a confirmed bank on file? If you don't have enough funds in the balance to fund the refund, you may need to pull the refund amount from a confirmed bank. If you're still running into issues after that, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support teams for assistance.

Hi Jon K,

Thanks for your reply. While I never spent that amount of money, so I'm pretty sure my balance is enough to refund. But that amount of transfer charged about 50 euros fee by Paypal. From the website, if I return the money I received, Paypal should also return the charged fee. Will this be the problem?
