How do I cancel a transfer from my bank to my PayPal account

I have requested a transfer of funds from my bank account to my PayPal account but realise that it will arrive on my PayPal account to late for direct debit payment. I’m worried that PayPal will try to take 2 payments when I only have the money in my bank account for 1 payment. How can I cancel the pending transfer?

Why did you add funds to your account to pay?

You never need funds in your Paypal account balance as a buyer. When you purchase an item then Paypal credit the seller for you, this is so there is no delay in the despatch of your item. Paypal will then take the wait for the funds to automatically transfer to reimburse them from your linked funding source.
However they only take that 'risk'  of crediting the seller upfront if you pay by...

1. Bank transfer but have a back up card linked to your account as well.
2. Debit or credit card.
If you have option 1 but have no back up card linked then your payment may go as an echeque and you and the seller will have to await clearance.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I added the transfer because I stupidly thought it would help if the money was on the way and that it would speed the process up for PayPal to get the money faster. I should have realised what would happen but because I have Aspergers Syndrome my mind works in weird ways😏. Can you suggest a solution?
