Has anyone had a monthly direct debit come out of their bank which is PayPal?

I’ve just noticed £10 a month has been going out of my bank via direct debit. This has been going on 7yrs! It says it’s PayPal but I’ve no idea why this is. Has anyone had this? It’s says JPMC re PayPal as reference

When you add a bank account to paypal it sets up the direct debit mandate so that paypal can take authorised payments for any purchases you make (or pay your Ebay fees).
No company eg water/electric can take funds from your bank account on a regular basis without that direct debit.
However the amount shown is always the ''last'' transaction / amount that you paid to a seller via paypal.

I have no idea what fees they could be tho? On my bank stament it says started 5th may 2015 last payment 5th may 2022. Does that mean I’ve been paying that for 7 years?

They are not fees, they are payments you authorise when you buy something and pay with paypal funded from your bank account.

So the direct debit would have been set up when you added a bank account to your paypal account presumably 7 years ago.

And then the £10 would have been the last seller you paid via paypal funded from that bank account.

For instance I have £32 showing next to my paypal direct debit, does NOT mean I have been paying that monthly for 10 years !!

It means I set up my paypal account and added a bank account 10 years ago and the last purchase I made to a seller was £32.

When I buy something else that £32 will change to the next purchase amount.

None of the JPMC PayPal transactions out of my bank account have ever shown up on my actual PayPal account? All fraudulent transactions by JPMC.

I just notice lots of payments taken from JPMC Re PayPal, dating back September 2021. None of the PayPal transactions out of my bills bank account, shows up or tally with my PayPal account. Phoned bank, told to phone PayPal to resolve. On one date 14 payment taken out by JPMC Re PayPal. Fraud, hope I get all my money back.
