Direct deposit not showing up

I expected a direct deposit on 8/31 (and that matches what my employer says it deposited to my PayPal direct deposit account - all numbers matching) but it hasn’t yet shown up. This is my first time using direct deposit with PayPal - would there be a reason why they wouldn’t be posting it?

Have you set up a paypal balance account to accept the funds as per link?
