I got sent money and received an email saying "an E-wallet wasn't detected, and I should create one. I couldn't find anything about this on google and really wondering if I'm getting scammed or not? I couldn't also find how to actually connect an E-wallet to my PayPal as well? Is this something that happens/may happen or am I just getting scammed?
As long as your email address has been confirmed then you can receive funds, check that the sender is sending to the correct email address that is linked to your paypal account.
