A payment of £41 has not cleared a negative balance of -£13, why is this?

Thank you for joining the PayPal Community and posting your question! I'm sorry to hear that the funds you've received haven't cleared your balance. If you're sure that they're not in your pending balance from a funds availability hold, double-check the currency and make sure that it is £. If you received the funds in a different currency, they would not be automatically applied to your £ balance without conversion.
If that is not the answer, for your best bet, contact Customer Service to allow a representative to look at what's happening. You can find your contact options by clicking Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website, or you can reach out to our Social Media Customer Service teams via direct private message on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
