Unable to print any International postage via Paypal...

Hi! For a while I've had trouble getting Canadian postage to print from Paypal but now I find I cannot print ANY Intl postage from Paypal. I am a computer technician "by day" and have downloaded the necessary Java but still have to end up voiding the label when it doesn't print and then I go to the USPS and it prints fine from their site. Anyone else having this problem or might know of any additional steps I need to take within Paypal in order to rectify this situation? I'd appreciate any help!!

This problem started for me a few months ago out of the blue.  Tonight when I saw that you're a computer tech and still have it - it must be bad.  Doing a search in this forum I see some other repeats of the saame problem.....in a nutshell it's being blamed on Java and Pitney Bowes (as of August!) and "they're working on it"  You can do your international printing throug USPS or stamps.com including first class international. But call them on the phone and be sure you get the FREE EBAY SELLERS ACCOUNT.  Meanwhile I'm going to read on on this searched question and see if I find any solutions THAT WORK.

I too have had issues with printing USPS international postage. From the best i can tell the problem would be resolved if they would simply stick with the system default printer. The glitch seems to happen for me every time the Pitney Bowes software looks and tries to verify the printer. We should not have to verify that yes we use the same printer every time for international labels. It should be an option or choice available in PayPal  or saved and searched for by some add on/ cookie/ etc that is automatically searched for while printing international labels. Some of the solutions i have had help have been to return to an earlier version of Java. I personally have only had updates 2 7 8 9 and 22 on my desktop Vista and update 22 only on the laptop Windows 7(cant get the laptop to print them at all for about two months, brand new laptop with no changes in software from the time i purchased 3 months ago). The problems seem to decrease on the desktop; but only slightly by doing this. I have called tech support and spent 2-3 hours with a very freindly Idian fellow who tried and had me update Internet Explorer, Java, Log Out of PayPal log Back into PayPal and clear browser histories. All were ineffective. If you will open the Java and clear its history and fault code trails it also seems to make the problem subside. But again, only make it slightly better. Usually have to force restart the Internet Explorer screen several times up till when it searches for the printer and freezes then repeat the process. After 6-10 attempts of reclearing cookies and histories and force restarting I.E. and 20-30 minutes later i get **bleep** off and walk away. Sometimes restarting the system and relogging into PayPal also helps---Slightly and sometimes. Other times it will print within 2-3 atempts at reloading the page with the forced X out and restart method.

Please add to this thread if you are experiencing these problems as well and eventually someone will come up with a solution!!! But only once it is viewed as a "Real" problem. For me it already is-- 10 to 12 times a week, generally blowing 15-20 minutes a pop. Totaling 4 hours a week i cant do listings or make sales!?!?!?

Thanks

PLUS we're charged for the label and have to wait for a refund. Good thing we all have money trees in the yard.

I also have tried to print shipping labels for a package to Sweden - paypal instantly took my money but refuses to provide the service by printing the label - I feel that I just got ripped off by this giant company.  Pretty incompetent programming.  If they are unable to provide the service they should at least be ethical enough not to take your money.  They get the use of my money free for three weeks and don't pay any interest on the use of my money.  They claim I will get it back in three weeks - what a great deal.  You do this to 50,000 people a week or more and you get a lot of float money.

A few months ago I had the exact issues as CEyster had.  I had to un-install the new version of Java (22?) and then go  to Java and downloaded version 17 and now everything works fine.

I print a few international shipments every week and have not had an issue since going back to the old version. Java will keep telling you an update is available, I just close the update.

Happy New Year!

I've been unable to print International shipping as well. I've tried on windows Vista, and Windows 7. Same results. I reprint the label on an XP machine at work, and it works fine.

I have not yet tried printing with the Java revision 17 though... didn't think that would be necessary... But I am willing to try it!
