When printing from Paypal UPS Labels, why does it take the money out when they print and then again when the item is delivered? My account drops when I print off UPS shipping labels and then again when the item is delivered. Should I call paypal and ask them about this?

Hi All,
The actual cost may vary from the "Total Shipping Cost" shown on the "Shipping Confirmation" page. This may vary due to measurements of the packaging provided. If UPS finds the size or weight of your package differs from amounts reported on the "Enter Shipping Options" page, you may receive a debit or a credit for additional shipping charges to your card that you have on file with UPS. You will need to contact UPS for specific information concerning these adjustments of the original charge

paypal amanda..
it is not that we do not understand this all..pending and clearing are two different things..we get this..but paypal is taking extra money from us for this...meaning same exact charges are being taken twice..i use this service quite often and have recently realized that this was happening to me..at an average of $150 a month in extra charges..i have been printing out my monthly statements to get to the bottom of it..my paypal account will show a balance drop twice for the same package..every single time...period!!!! PAYPAL IS EMBEZZLING!!! There is not a hold then an addition to my account then another minus..thats how paypal says it is..no its not like that!!! its a pending minus from my balance first..then a completed transaction which is also a minus from my balance..there is never an addition. never once..us the ebay community of sellers will get to the bottom of this. We will start a class action suit if necessary. If this happens to everyone who ships ups how much is paypal embezzling? i think ebay and paypal make plenty off me already in fees from both sites that they should not be doing this to us!!! I want answers..i have all my proof printed out clear as day. every other charge from a normal local company works the way you say it does..pending charge..balance minused a day or two later completed transaction and thats it..no other minuses..why is it only ups?
please respond amanda or any other paypal rep because this is just ridiculous.
sincerely

I have to agree and as a result of this I stopped using the UPS option through pay pal and just use my business FedEx account. It may not be as convenient but I don't have to put up with double billing my account and trying to spend hours on the phone trying to talk to some Pay Pal representative in Indonesia or India
So, Pay Pal isn't "embezzling" from my account anymore and they aren't making money from me shipping through UPS amymore either.
Now if I want to ship through UPS I do it directly on their website.
I don't need to give Pay Pal any more of my money and I don't need to have a lawyer get rich from a class action lawsuit because the only one that wins in those is the lawyers

I was charged twice for shipping by UPS for a 10 pound box of books of 19 dollar value to Canada. The shipping was 24.95 . I left town and when I came back to find not only was I charged 24.95 initially but 11 days later when the package was delivered i was charged an additional 24.95 with no explanation. If the value of the contents were no different and the books were the same weight. why the double bill??
SO where is the first payment that is released it hasnt been refunded. Where is it?/ If its released it isnt released back to my account!

I am having the same problem, and I know what an additional charge is, this is being charged twice for the same shipment. Ship/complete should be one charge. Last week, over $150.00 in charges for actual shipping deducted from balance, when they showed completed another over $150 was deducted from my balance. That isn't going to work. If someone can please explain I'm listening. Jay

I contacted UPS and they said it is a paypal problem, well paypal then told me it is a UPS problem. something is going on here. neither one wants to deal with the issue. got hit with another round of double charges from my paypal account this morning. I guess if neither on of them is going to take action, it's time to go the legal route. I can't continue to use a service that won't protect their customers.

Please keep me informed if you go the legal route way on this matter. I think they have been doing this for a long time. If you go class action , count me in.
