Connecting my UPS to Paypal

I have had a Paypal account for years and was never able to use my UPS account.  I have a UPS account number.  For some reason when I try to use it through Paypal it comes up saying my contact information is different than what is on file for UPS.  I have checked both accounts and have no idea what Paypal is referring too.  My address is exactly the same in both places and I don't know what else to look for.  It is very inconvenient because instead of going through paypal to print my labels I have to go to UPS directly.  Can someone help me figure this out once and for all.  Thanks.

Finally have the UPS shipping account opened.  I wish someone had said that the 402 number should be added in your Profile edit Address screen.  I was only adding it to the add/existing UPS account screen.  This was from a quick 5 minute call to Paypal.

I put my real phone number in the ship from address page like dok124 and naysayer suggested and it worked!!!!

I was getting mad, frustrated, etc. Paypal better fix this problem, at least there is a work around.

So, another 30 minutes wasted.  The 402 number didn't work.  Olivia, I had read the entire thread when I first added a reply.  I can't remove the UPS account from Paypal, because there isn't one and I never have been able to get past the repeated warning.  I now have two UPS account numbers.  Neither one work with Paypal.

 

What now?

Did you try with an existing shipper number, or choose the "i don't have a ups account" option?

 

I should have mentioned I did it via i don't have a ups account option....also I used the same 402 number when confirming my info on that screen.

 

Hope this helps.  The downside is that even though I previosuly had a UPS account tied to and working on my eBay account, it takes 4-6 days for it to re-activate.  Not holding out much hope that a call to UPS will get them to refund me the discounted difference....but I'm sure as **bleep** going to give it a try anyway.

Good Morning,  I'm fairly new to Ebay selling and Paypal shipping.  I've always used my own boxes and drove to local UPS store.  When I saw we can get discounted shipping I tried to sign up.  I keep getting the same "contact info does not match".  After a week of frustration, I'm wondering if it's really worth it.  I sent out eight packages last week and have one more today.  I've tried changing everything in all the fields, even wrote Second instead of 2nd for street address.

 

Hope we see an answer soon, I have another round of items going on Ebay this week.

OK, so I thought I found the problem.  I had old unknown UPS account number in my Paypal profile.  Changed that to new current UPS account.  Added zip+4 codes to everything.  Now I get "Paypal UPS shipping unavailable" or "User already registered shipping unavailable".

 

Great system, Computers make our lives so much better.

Adding my name to the roster of misery. I've done every possible workaroud: deleted my UPS account, created new accounts, quadruple checked my address, added my phone number in every possible field, deleted my cookies, talked to customer support on the phone. I still get this error: "This User ID already exists.PayPal Shipping is not available. We apologize for the inconvenience." Which, let me say, is one of the most useless error messages in the history of the form.

OK, so a couple of days ago I got a confirmation e-mail from UPS that my account would become active on Feb 28th.  I anxiously awaited thinking this would fix the problem.  NOT SO FAST.  IT DIDN'T"T.  And while I was wasting my time again, I got another welcome to UPS with a different account number.  YEAH, maybe this was the number I needed.  Oh well another hour wasted.  What's next PayPal?

Same thing happened to me.  I contacted UPS customer service - of course they have no clue how to help.  I then contacted UPS technology support - even more clueless.  They were pointing the finger at paypal.  Now I have been on hold for 1 hour to talk to someone at paypal.  This is beyond frustrating.

 

Please someone let me know what to do since the agents dont know anything...!
