Tips and Gratuity

I love PayPal, and I want to use it for everything.  This brings us to the service industry where tipping is customary.  Today I got a haircut and tipped my provider via PayPal.  ISSUE! ...  I would like the smart guys behind the PayPal technology to come up with a way service providers can accept PayPal tips without having to give customers their email address or phone number.  Fortunately, I had established good rapport with my provider and by the time I was ready to pay, she freely gave me her email address as I explained I wanted to PayPal her tip.  If this is to become mainstream practice, hair stylists, restaurant servers must be able to maintain anonymity when giving patrons the means to Paypal them.  Please advise.

What....... Why not just get the Paypal debit card and use it when paying for your haircut

Because I'm sure the client would like to prevent the stylist's paying taxes on the gratuity. Or being charged the credit card machine company's fees for the gratuity.

I am a hairstylist and want to use Paypal to bill my clients (I just stopped accepting credit cards in salon because I was tired of delayed payments). I'd like to add a place on the "request" so they can tip me because I know that's the first feedback I'll get from people who pay me this way. "I couldn't tip you!"

Any ideas?
