Should I report a problem now?

I bought an expensive camera on Ebay, paid through Paypal. The next day I looked online and found the seller had been removed and the item no longer listed. The seller says that Ebay needed more security info and that he had supplied it and was waiting to be reinstated. He said the camera was to ship next week (this week possiby). I asked for a tracking number and he said that Paypal was holding the payment for 17 days and he couldn't ship until he received the money. I checked my account and it says transaction completed. How can I find out if he got the money and should I start a complaint and get my money back? It's a lot of money!

Welcome to the forums!

When PayPal holds funds for a transaction, we require that the seller ship and prove delivery in order to have access to the funds. Sellers are not supposed to hold onto the item until the funds clear.

If your seller is refusing to ship within 7 days of receiving the payment, you may file a Non Receipt dispute.
