Hello meetball!

Great question!

An eCheck is an electronic funds transfer from your bank to another customer's PayPal account.  With an eCheck, the recipient receives the money within 3-5 business days.

With say, an instant transfer, the recipient receives the funds right away.

To have Instant transfer as an option, you will need to add a second funding source, such as a credit card to your account.  The reason for this is, if we are unable to debit the funds from the bank, we will use the credit card.

Hope this helps!

Hello kcauman!

Thanks for stopping by!

Once you have initiated an echeck, it will automatically pull the funds from your bank account.  Your seller also receives notification & it will appear in his PayPal account that the payment is processing.

Hope this helps!

Hello,

I made a payment by e-check which is currently pending.  I have since added a Debit card to have instant payments. Can the pending payment now be processed as an instant payment.  If so, how do I do that?  thanks,

Hello webleedgreen!

Welcome to the forums!

Once the payment is processing, we are unable to change it to a instant transfer.  The good news is--now that you have the debit card also on your account, all future transactions should be able to go through as instant payments!

Hope this helps!
