paypal gift

Hi, I only used paypal to pay debts with my credit card but I've never used it to transfer.

I would like to know if there is any kind of limitation, such as: maximum amount ($) of paypal gift allowed or number of transfer per month. I'm travelling in late October for about half a year and some friends are going to send me money through here. I'm planning to transfer the funds to a local bank or to buy online if it is possible.

Can anyone give me some info, please?.

Hi there,

All PayPal accounts have a receiving limit of €2,500 (or currency equivalent). You can lift this by following these steps: Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account. > Click View Limits next to your account balance. > Select ‘Receiving limit per year’ and click Lift Limits. > Follow the instructions to add your bank account.
