Invoice payment limit £5500

The received payment limit for an email invoice is £5500, if I want to invoice for £8000 can I just do 2 seperate emails in one day for it?

Hey there matt25,

£5500 is the maximum sending limit through the PayPal system.

It is possible to send two invoices, but just be aware that when you receive two payments for the one item you do away with seller protection.

This might not affect you though if you are seller something that is not covered by seller protection anyway, such as vehicles.

I'm trying to pay £5600 for an eBay item but the Paypal limit is £5500. If I get the seller to give me a discount of £100 and reinvoice me for £5500 would that work ? I could then pay the seller the extra £100 in cash.

That could work in theory, but just to remind you there is no Buyer protection on split payments.
