Cancelled order but payment still pending.

Hi,

  I recently ordered with Asda direct, but the company then cancelled the order, sending me an e-mail saying they were unable to take payment. However, the money for the order has already come out of my bank account balance and appears in my PayPal transaction history as pending. Not entirely sure what to do as it's a lot of money and there's no cancel button when I click on the transaction details. I looked on their site this morning and noticed the item I ordered was out of stock, I don't know if this is the reason they cancelled and the e-mail I got was automated or what. Either way, what can I do to make sure the money is back into my account as soon as possible.

When you pay a company the payment is always pending until they process your order and accept the payment.

As they are not going to collect the payment then it stays there until 30 days when the pending status bugs out and paypal return the funds to your funding source.

HOWEVER if you contact your funding source and tell them those funds are no longer needed they should be able to get the pending funds back for you.

So if I go to my bank, explain and ask them to cancel the transaction, they should be able to do this?

i ordered make up from a site through paypal. i have since cancelled the order but the payment is still pending in my paypal account, will i still be charged?
