Hi, I've had 5 payments bounce/ show up as a returned direct debit on my bank statement. All I want to know is does the seller still have their money or will it be withdrawn. So stressed about this. Thanks

Depends, normally paypal credit the seller and then paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer from your funding source.

So is it marked as completed by the transactions?

Does your paypal account show a negative balance?

If yes to the first and no to the second then paypal normally try again a few days later and if that fails they may put your account into negative until you pay them back OR use your back up funding source eg a debit or credit card.

Why did the bank transfers fail? Have you accidentally cancelled the direct debit mandate for paypal on your online banking?

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Yes it's marked as completed but I do not have a negative PayPal balance yet. I think it bounced due to insufficient funds in my bank at the time PayPal tried to withdraw the money.
