Payment from and to UK

I m in UK, and trying to pay, from my paypal balance to another UK person. I am trying to pay in sterling but message states "this recipient doesn't accept international payments. I can't get onto paypal.co.uk as default is the .com site. What else can I do?

Do you have a UK or US paypal account?? Ignore the siggy below i am experimenting trying to add one !!!

I've a UK one and all previous transactions in Sterling seemed ok. Just seems to default to the US one when I type in the .co.uk. I'm sure Im doing something realy daft but it has me beaten so far! 🙂

OK this is weird.

If its defaulting to the .com site are you sure you have not opened a US paypal account?

Are you in the US USING a UK paypal account??
