I have sold an item via e-bay for £8.19 incl. P&P.
For other reason I went to look at my balance on paypal and found out that the net amount received from that person figures at £7.71. Why is that?
Maybe a trivial question but I dont know where else to go to ask.

You do know that you pay a fee to paypal to receive card funded payments don't you??
3.4% per transaction. The fee is deducted before the rest of the payment is credited to your paypal balance.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

ah, that is it! yes I knew about the fee but did not care much about when and how they were deduced. e-bay does it later on in summary so I thought that paypal uses similar process.
thanx for the reply.
