My buyer stated in first contact goods were damaged I asked him to contact royal mail as this item was packed well and insured but all he is interested in is a refund should I accept damaged goods back as I now received threatening mail stating he will come to my address, claim set up with pay pal but he is not interested in awaiting their answer.

I think I'm right in saying that the sender has to claim from Royal Mail, you can download a claim form if their site is working. They may contact the buyer depending on value asking precise details about how well it was packed and this could make or break a claim. Read their minimum packaging standards. This process took me nearly three weeks last time I had a claim but fortunately my buyer was understanding. This could well be a scam to get the goods for nothing it does happen. If he were my customer I would explain that it was not your fault and you are doing all you should to get a claim sorted but will not accept threats. Keep any threatning e mails as evidence. Putting on pressure is how scammers work. Hope this helps.
