buyer sent e cheque which is now showing as cancelled

Hi, I sold an ebay item and I received an e cheque payment this has now been cancelled after 7 days and the buyer insists it is showing as paid so says it is my problem- should  I just cancel the transaction with ebay

Definitely cancel the transaction. Good thing you didn't ship out the item!
