I sold an item, for a charity. The total amount was donated but paypal has taken out 1.90 from my account in fees so in effect I have donated the item and had to pay an extra £1.90 . I thought the idea of Paypal Giving was so that charities can benefit. I feel like I have been ripped off . As usual there is no-one to talk to only an automated phone so I can't get an answer. Can someone tell me why this has this happened? I have a stack of items that I was going to sell for the same charity but am not going to now.

Hi Sisal0,
Thanks for posting in the forum and apologies for the late reply. When you enroll as a donor to raise funds selling items on eBay, you would need to select the percentage of the funds that would go to the charity. However, receiving fees may still apply if you are not a registered charity, I am afraid.
The best thing would be to contact the PayPal Giving team through this link
Thanks,
Jessica
