I have had a refund issued even though I did send the item but lost the tracking, what can I do?

I sent a pair of trainers but lost the tracking.
I am confident that the buyer did recieve them as I posted the item from work with next day delivery but the buyer has insisted they didn't recieve the item and has had a refund deducted from me.
How can I fight this?

You can't, no tracking = no proof of delivery.
And the buyer may well be telling the truth.
Advice is voluntary.
