Can't link my account with eBay!!! Tried as follows but failed ever sigle time...Help

I have benn told that my eBay address was linked to my PayPal account. But I have to link PayPal email address to eBay

So I did as follows

1 click the Profile subtab.
2 Select 'Selling Preferences' > 'Auctions'.
3 enter eBay User ID.Click 'Add'

4 the discription "You have successfully added an eBay User ID."came out

and then I loggin eBay and link to the PayPal account

Anyway, I complained that problem to eBay service supporters. However, they told me that all I need to

do was to connect you.

So, can you please tell me if there is something wrong with my Paypal account???

Same problem here! Tried from tons of different devices and browsers at various times and days, still no luck. I even have multiple PP accounts to test with and none work. WHAT IS THE FIX???

Hi all,

Thanks for posting in the forum. At the moment, you can only link your PayPal account from your eBay account following the below steps: 

1.     Log in to your eBay account.

2.     Click My eBay at the top of the page.

3.     Click the Account tab, then click the PayPal Account link.

4.     Click the Link My PayPal Account button. You will be asked to log in to PayPal to finish linking your accounts.

Since you can no longer link to an eBay account from your PayPal account, the best thing would be to contact eBay if the above steps are not working for you. You can reach out to them via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/eBay.co.uk or through Twitter on @AskeBay

Jessica at PayPal, your explanation doesn't work, makes no sense and is not tested. The users here are specifically saying that PayPal can NOT be linked to eBay. Instead of testing it with your IT specialists and web developers, you are giving a useless explanation just for the sake of answering the question. The users here are desperate for a resultion of how to link PayPal to eBay. When we go to eBay > Account Settings > Link My PayPal Account, that does not work at ALL! The auction link on PayPal website does not exist. So what to do? Please provide a useful solution before we escalate this complaint to your corprate department.

Welcome to our Community 🙂

As Jessica mentioned in her comment earlier in this thread, I'm afraid now that PayPal and eBay are separate companies, this linking process is handled directly by eBay.

As a result, PayPal would have no visibility on why this isn't working for you 😞

Would you consider posting on the eBay community forum to see if their members could help you get to the bottom of this though? You could also contact eBay via Facebook or Twitter.
