will i be refunded for unauthorized access on my account?

i had an unknown transaction to some guy in europe on my account. i already processed a report but im not sure if paypal will actually get back to me, and especially because it was a decent amount of money to me ($50). will i be refunded any time soon or should i just try to call my bank or something to dispute the charge?

If the payment was unauthorised by you then yes raise a dispute for an unauthorised transaction.

Also I would do an anti-virus scan on your computer and change your paypal password and security questions.

Also inform your funding sources and keep an eye on any linked funding sources.

Lastly........

Check if you had a subscription set up and cancel it?
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
