deleted account, case opened.

hello everyone! about a month ago or so I sold someone an item, about a week ago I decided to stop my activities with PayPal and so I closed my account. but yesterday I saw the buyer requested a refund, the buyer's message doesn't even make sense and is pretty much trying to scam me, so I attempted to open a new account in hopes that the case will carry over and ill be able to fight it. but it didn't. and for some reason, it won't let me send PayPal a message through the message center. what should I do? is there any way to move the case over or something or do I need to wait till I can call them next week? thank you!
