Dear people,

Last summer I was on vacation in Lebanon, visiting my girlfriend.
Both of us are gamers and I made 2 small payments in an internet cafe via paypal during my vacation there
for a game we play. A month later I got an email from paypal with the following.

We have reviewed your account activity and determined that you have violated PayPal's Acceptable Use Policy. As a result, your account
will be permanently restricted and you will no longer be able to conduct business with PayPal.
This is permitted under the Prohibited Activities and Actions We May Take Sections of the PayPal User Agreement.
You must remove all references to PayPal from your website(s) and/or auction(s), including PayPal as a payment method.
The PayPal logo and the PayPal shopping cart. You can no longer use PayPal.

At the time I had no idea why I was banned from Paypal.
I contacted Paypal customer service and they told me that my account has been blocked and cannot tell me why.
I then searched the internet and found out that papyal is banned in Lebanon.
The people who live there are not allowed to use Paypal.
I didn't know it was banned at all, and apparently even banned if you come from a country where you can use Paypal.
I explained that to customer service and they said all you can do is appeal if you don't agree. I had to send my story to this person
and they would pass it on to the appropriate department. Within 30 minutes I received an answer saying: you have broken the rules, the ban remains.
I think it's very childish that you get banned for life for such things.
I have been using paypal for 13 years and I have never experienced this.
They always advertise "use paypal worldwide"
However, I didn't know it was banned in "Lebanon" and I think a lifetime ban from Paypal is very extreme.

There is still money on my account and i have no way of contacting them, theres no phonenumber listed and i can't contact them through the website.

Sincerely,

Gino
