Hi everyone, Yesterday I tried to update my name on my account because for years my first name has been my first name + middle name and I’m sick of my middle name showing up on all purchases. I did it the normal way and uploaded my drivers licence as requested. Last night I got two consecutive emails from PayPal. One saying the document I had uploaded had expired and the name change couldn’t be actioned and another immediately after saying my account has been permanently banned. The only reason I could think it would be banned is because I accidentally uploaded my old licence (expired earlier this year) as it looks the exact same as my current one and I selected the wrong file saved to my phone. It seems like a really harsh response with no clear recourse except I guess to call them? Does anyone think I have any chance reversing this? I have only ever used the account for personal use and I haven’t been involved in any disputes.
