I believe that they use some kind of automatic monitoring or AI whose decisions no one will ever cancel, because no one knows the reasons, this is a black box. It cannot be a room with monkeys throwing darts. It can't? Anakin-Skywalker-Padme-Memes-Have-Us-Silently-Realizing-the-Truth-1200x385.jpg

I have had my account temporarily restricted.

Had a paypal well over 15 years. No reasons offered, no emails. I found out through the paypal app but not the website. I even have had a paid on time Paypal credit card for four years. WTF Paypal????

I simply don't trust Paypal anymore. I have heard too many horror stories. That is MY MONEY.

Changing my Payment options on all my transactions, paying off the card in full and never touching you again.

I am not expecting a fix. I have seen enough.

They did the same thing to me and have $8,082.00 of my money and they keep telling me they are sending it to the back end to be investigated well this has been going on since November of 2020.here it is 2023 and I still can't get my money. They refuse to give me my money or give me a reason or answer as to why they are holding my money. Mind you the money in my account came from the Alabama department of labor. So they know it's legit and they know it's legitimately my money. This is ridiculous. I do know Paypal has several class action lawsuits against them. Is there anyone that can help me with this issue.

Normally funds are returned as long as no disputes are opened in those 180 days and as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and the account is registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

At PayPal, we value a safe community for our customers to do business. We noticed activity in your account that's inconsistent with our User Agreement and therefore can no longer offer you PayPal services. Any bank or card information linked to your PayPal account cannot be removed nor can it be used to create a new account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can’t send or receive payments. Funds in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we’ll send you an email with instructions about withdrawing your funds. Reference ID: PP-L-350231778844

In contrast to the main answer choice, I would like to say that that is absolutely not true. I got my account permanently limited too, but I contacted the support and worked with them to sort out the problem. This was the US support number. Be polite, courtious and they will try to help you. It is possible to resolve this problem if some error has been made.

How can you get your "permanently limited account" unlocked due to a possible error if customer service won't or is not able to disclose the reason for why it's being limited? I guess I'm wondering how they'd even come to the conclusion of a possible error if they won't even look into the Review team's decision to Limit the account in the first place. My account was randomly labeled as permanently limited about a month ago and have talked to two different customer service reps with both telling me there was nothing they could attempt to do to remedy this issue. They both said they had zero info/insight as to why my account was limited and had zero access into getting ahold of a reason to explain the Review team's decision and that this decision is indeed permanent and could not be reversed. So weird that Paypal cut's out user's with absolutely no attempt to offer clarity on these decisions...
