Seller won't refund, paypal close the case

I bought 8 items from a seller, 6 of them had a 3x2 discount. The had an out of stock item and didn't want to refund it sinxe it was "the free item" so I canceled 3 items of the value of 14.73€ but with the 3x2 discount i only paid 9.98€ for the 3. After receiving the items, they only refunded me 4.99€ saying that the 2 other items were free and they would not give me money for them. I opened a dispute for item not received and paypal close it saying that since it was a pick up from store I was not eligible. I then changed the case to "missing refund" which is true since I am missing 4.99€ of my refund, but again paypal after mamy days just closed the case (without even notifyin me) saying that the billing was right, even tough I provided multiple proof that the amount I should get back is 9.98€ and not only 4.99€. I talked to the customer service and they saying that i filed for the wrong case, and that I should have opened a case for "item not as described missing item", I explained that that was the first case I opened and that they still refused to refund me and now they just stopped naswering me. Is there anyway to get my money back?

Paypal covers you for item not received OR item received but not as described.
As you chose to 'cancel' the items which may well have been as described then its really between you and the merchant to sort out.
Advice is voluntary.
