Hello,
I sent a payment to my friend on January 19th. This payment although completed from my end, could not be claimed by my friend yet. He was unable to claim it due to some restriction or limitation placed on his account.
When making the money transfer to my friend, I inadvertently indicated that the payment was for goods & services instead of friends and family. Soon after sending the money, I realized the mistake and let a PayPal representative know about this right away. The representative told me that she would rectify this to friends and family which was not done.
PayPal has been told numerous times that this is a friend-to-friend transaction. Despite that, my friend is being asked to provide details irrelevant to the friend-to-friend transaction - such as Proof of Fulfillment, Proof of Purchase from the Supplier, an explanation of how his business works, etc. We contacted Customer limitation twice on conference call and the last time he was asked to upload a photo ID which he did. My friend was told that this would be processed by the back office and that he would hear within 24-72 hours. The next day the same madness continues and he is being asked to upload the same documents mentioned above which are irrelevant to the friend to friend transaction I initiated.
Could you promptly resolve this complaint at your end?
