Recently I turned 18 and logged into an existing paypal account to find I have a permanent limitation on my account. The reason stated that i was under 18 at the time. Which is true but I had only opened to the account as I had heard that there was child accounts available and once I realised there weren’t any I left the account. The account was already opened when I turned 18 and I never intended to breach any rules of Paypal by opening this account as a minor as it was an honest mistake of mine. Id there any way I am able to appeal this to have my account be brought back to normal?

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.
PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will need to be verified to accept funds into your balance or lift any limits.
As you would be unable to verify your account it would be permanently locked for further use.
You would never be able to use that illegally opened underage account again but once 18 Paypal may allow you to open a new account. Opening a new account is not guaranteed as you have already broken their rules once so check first.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
